I crave a getaway with my girlfriends. It’s been too long since I’ve seen their smiling faces, reminisced of the past, drank too much wine and stayed up too late. I cherish these moments with my trusted gal pals. Whether it be with my childhood friends, college sorority sisters or my fellow mommies, our time together makes my heart happy!
I reunited with a sorority sister last year at Four Seasons Resort Orlando. We satisfied our inner child and spent the day “park hopping” and exploring everything Disney had to offer. Oh, to be a kid again. We shared lots of laughs, took ridiculous pictures and ate and drank way too much. Our time together was amazing and just what we both needed.
The essence of travel allows us the opportunity to reconnect on so many levels. As described by Hans Christian Anderson, “To travel is to live” and I am reminded on a daily basis how important travel is for our mental health and well-being. Even savvy corporate executives are incorporating it as an element in their business planning.
If you are reading this, I hope you are inspired to schedule a trip with your friends. Keep Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale in mind for this “friend’s getaway.” Whether you are looking to relax and be pampered or to get outdoors and explore, our Sonoran Desert location is an incredible place to reconnect and escape the stress of everyday life for some quality time among friends.
I need to take my own advice, choose a destination, and create an opportunity to reconnect with my girls. After all, good friends don’t let you travel alone; they come along for the journey.
